Aju Pharmacy in Jeju, Korea, stands out as a distinctive architectural and interior endeavor. The exceptional nature of this project emerged from the intricate task of revitalising an existing building located on a lower ground level site. Our primary challenge was to breathe life into this subterranean space, addressing concerns such as natural light, color selection, and the dimensions of design elements.

The proposed design ingeniously maximizes openings to welcome natural light, strategically employing vibrant colors to counteract the lower ground's dimly lit ambiance. Meticulous consideration was given to pedestrians' perspectives, ensuring the pharmacy's visibility. This was achieved by aligning design elements with their eye level, facilitated by a gentle slope that guides their gaze, resulting in a harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetics..
